Before you book
What you should know before booking a holiday apartment in the Eckermannhaus.
The house
Our apartments are on the first and second floors; unfortunately there is no lift. If you would prefer an apartment on a lower floor, please get in touch with us.
Reservation
A reservation only becomes binding once you have received our booking confirmation. Please give your mobile number when booking so that we can reach you on the day of arrival. If you only need some information, please use the contact form rather than the booking system.
Arrival and departure
Check-in from 3 pm, check-out by 10 am. Access is via a key safe or remote-controlled front door. We will send you all the important information about your arrival one to two days beforehand.
Cancellation
You can cancel free of charge up to 8 days before arrival. Within 7 days of arrival, we charge 50% of the total price. For cancellations on the day of arrival, no-shows and early departures, we charge 100% of the accommodation price.
Parking
Our parking spaces are a few minutes’ walk from the house and cost €12.50 per day. Please book in good time. More under Getting here & parking.
Culture levy (Kulturförderabgabe)
In accordance with § 4 of the City of Weimar’s bylaw, we charge all guests a culture levy (Kulturförderabgabe) of €1.10 per person per night. It is charged in addition to the accommodation price and passed on to the City of Weimar.
Lost property
If you would like forgotten items sent on to you, we charge a flat fee of €10.00. We dispatch them once payment has been received. Forgotten items are disposed of after being kept for six months.
